Generosity terms and conditions

Version 2026-11-01 · Effective November 1, 2026.

1. Operator and contact

Generosity is operated by INSTITUTO DE DEBERES Y DERECHOS HUMANOS, a civil association, Mexican tax ID (RFC) IDD190329L69. Its registered tax address is Temixco 7, acceso 1er callejón, colonia Pedregal de Santo Domingo, Coyoacán, Ciudad de México, C.P. 04369, Mexico.

Institute staff handle support, legal and privacy matters at notificaciones@generosity.global. State the purpose of your request. Do not send passwords, access codes, card details or beneficiary records.

2. Scope of the service

Generosity helps people browse kindness centers and needs, submit location applications, coordinate contributions of time or goods and follow their progress. Available features may differ between the website and applications. Public information can be viewed without an account.

The Institute administers the platform. Each center is responsible for its published information, available capacity and activities. Directory inclusion does not guarantee immediate availability, official certification or tax-exempt donee authorization. A user visit or signal does not constitute official verification.

3. Adult accounts and acceptance

To create an account you must be at least 18 and have reached the age of majority where you live. You must confirm this, accept these terms and read the privacy notice. We record the document version and date of your declaration; we do not routinely request a birth date or identity document.

Accounts are personal. Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in methods and report unauthorized access. Do not use another person's identity. An external sign-in provider only creates or links a Generosity account; it does not grant access to other Institute services or establish your age or authority to represent a center.

Minors may receive support from centers under their admission rules without being required by this policy to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we will block access and review the processing of their data.

Accepting these terms does not authorize advertising, public disclosure of your history or device permissions unrelated to the requested feature.

4. Organizations and location applications

Representing an organization requires its authorization. An account, points or a phone number do not establish that authority. We may request proportionate evidence and restrict management access to expressly assigned centers.

Each application concerns one location. Receipt and its reference confirm submission, not approval, publication, verification or management rights. Institute staff will review the application and may contact its representative. Only submit contacts and addresses authorized for publication; do not include protected addresses or beneficiary data.

5. Contributions, progress and safety

An offer of time or goods is an intention. The center decides whether to accept it and records receipt or completion. History distinguishes offers, confirmations, cancellations and completed support; self-reported personal help is not presented as center-validated. Quantities and durations are not always comparable.

Agree on items, conditions, availability and delivery with the center beforehand. You can request cancellation through available actions or support. Closing an account does not itself erase commitments, third-party rights or unresolved claims.

In-person activities require understanding their safety and participation conditions. Generosity is not an emergency service or a substitute for medical care. Do not send medicines, clinical information or specialist support without the involvement and conditions of the appropriate center.

6. Acceptable use and content

Fraud, impersonation, harassment, discrimination, exploitation, unauthorized disclosure of private data, manipulation of contributions and interference with service security are prohibited. Receiving help must not be conditional on photographs, advertising or public exposure.

You retain rights to your content and authorize the Institute to store and display it only as necessary to provide the service and to people authorized for that operation. You must have permission to share it. The Institute may remove content or restrict accounts for violations, security incidents or legal requirements. You may request a review through the contact channel.

7. Financial conditions

Creating an account and using the features described here carries no usage fee. This version does not process monetary donations, cards, paid advertisements or payments to centers. It does not request bank credentials or offer tax-deductible donation receipts. Future paid features will have separate conditions presented before purchase; these terms do not authorize future charges.

8. Account closure and data cancellation

You may request account closure and, separately or in the same message, cancellation of your personal data at notificaciones@generosity.global. You can do this without the app installed. State the associated email address and scope of your request. Institute staff will reasonably verify your identity before acting; a third-party request alone is insufficient.

Once closure is confirmed and executed, the server permanently disables the account and revokes its sessions, tokens and pending access mechanisms. Passwords, recovery and external providers cannot reactivate it. Closure does not delete your Google or Apple account. Uninstalling the app does not request account closure.

Blocking access is distinct from erasing data. Cancellation follows the privacy notice: we determine which data may be erased and which must be restricted because of applicable responsibilities or obligations, communicating our decision and reasons. We do not offer automatic, instantaneous erasure of every record. Data already downloaded to an offline device cannot immediately be removed remotely.

9. Privacy

The privacy notice explains data, purposes, recipients and how to exercise your rights. The Institute does not sell personal data or use these accounts for commercial campaigns for other Institute platforms. Device permissions and information you choose to share with a center are handled according to that notice and the requested feature.

10. Availability, responsibility and complaints

We take reasonable measures to protect the service, correct errors and preserve the integrity of operations. Interruptions, outdated information or third-party errors may occur; confirm conditions with the center before visiting. We do not guarantee a particular result from an activity or contribution.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or waives applicable data protection, consumer or other rights. You may report an incident or complaint to the Institute, including necessary references and facts without unrelated third-party data.

11. Changes and applicable law

We will publish dated new versions at this address. Material changes to obligations or purposes will be communicated and new acceptance requested where appropriate; charges will not apply retroactively. While we retain data, the relevant notice and legally recognized rights continue to apply.

The service operates from Mexico. These terms are interpreted under Mexican law without excluding mandatory rules that apply to you or requiring you to waive access to a competent authority. Spanish is the drafting reference; discrepancies in translation will be resolved consistently with applicable rights.
